FLOSS culture considers itself very open to diverse sexualities — is this really true?

Women and queers have been influential participants in technology and cyberspace from the start but sexual diversity remains barely articulated in FLOSS culture. However, whilst women and queers still make up only a small proportion of free and open software developers, counter-gendered cultures are beginning to form.

This section will compile information and resources on women and queers in FLOSS and in cyberculture more generally.

Below is a list of feature films which have cross-dressing or 'amazonian' heroines; whose star/director/writer was rumoured to be lesbian or was popular with lesbians; which was about lesbians or about female bonding; had a lesbian character; was set in an all-female environment — or which, for any other reason, has ever appealed to some of the lesbians for some of the time . . .

This is a collection of research and writing on cross-dressing and cross-gender identifications in lesbian and gay cultures and on lesbians and gays as audiences and fans. Some was published in print media and some online.
