GenderQueers

Queery theory was argued to transcend gender politics — arguably by absorbing all forms of dissident sexual identity within an essentially male homosexual culture. This section looks at gendered counter-cultures within queer discourse.
The focus is mainly on gender-based and cross-gendered queer representation including F2M and M2F cross-dressing, dykes and queens, female identification, female bonding, female protagonism and 'warrior' women in cult media and in lesbian and queer cultures. It doesn't deal specifically with lesbian, gay or queer film-making per se or gay characters in mainstream media. It does so from a queer rather than transgender perspective.

The F2M filmography hasn't been updated for a while and the tellyography is also far from complete so if you have any titles you think should be added, feel free to email them to us info@opengender.org.uk.
